Dermot O'Leary announced as host of the X Factor ChildLine Ball

Dermot O'Leary has today (18 July) been announced as the host of the 'X Factor ChildLine Ball'.

Sponsored by first direct for the second year, the Ball promises all the glitz, glamour and excitement of the phenomenal hit TV show with performances from previous X Factor stars.

Held in the luxurious Savoy Hotel, London, on 20 October, guests will enjoy a champagne reception and three course dinner. Guests will also have the chance to bid for exciting prizes in the grand auction before dancing the night away until 1am.

Host of the X Factor, Dermot O'Leary said: "I am very excited to be hosting the X Factor ChildLine Ball at the Savoy, and I look forward to reuniting with some of the talent from the series. It should be a fun night and hopefully we will raise a lot of money for this fantastic charity."

Last year's ChildLine Ball was hosted by Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden and raised over £300,000 for the children's charity.
