Mumsnet feature All babies count as ‘Campaign of the week’

We're delighted that Mumsnet, Britain's most popular website for parents, has named All babies count as the Campaign of the week from Monday 23 January. Mumsnet is the UK's largest online parenting community and, since its launch in 2000, has become a powerful political voice that lobbies the UK Government around issues surrounding children and parents.

The All babies count campaign was launched by the NSPCC in November 2011 and highlights the need to protect all babies from abuse and neglect. NSPCC research found that babies are eight times more likely to be killed than children of any other age.

By supporting the campaign  you can help vulnerable families and protect babies. We know that the vast majority of parents are receptive to help during pregnancy and the first months of their child's life. We also know that directing support where it's needed most, at the earliest opportunity, delivers real results: preventing abuse, stopping neglect, and helping an entire generation.

By visiting nspcc.org.uk/allbabiescount and signing our petition, you can back our call on governments across the UK to ensure the right support is in place for all babies. You can also find information about how the NSPCC supports babies and parents, including our new free booklet for new parents.
