Celebrity chefs’ favourite family foods revealed
30 January 2009
Nineteen top celebrity chefs including Raymond Blanc, Delia Smith and Rick Stein have kindly contributed to a new recipe book ‘Celebrity Chefs’ Favourite Family Recipes’ in aid of NSPCC’s service ChildLine and Help the Aged.
The book is available exclusively at all Morrisons stores from Monday 19 January priced £2.
Aussie chef John Torode, presenter of BBC’s Master Chef recommends his Aunty Mary’s Meat Pie: “My father always said there was nothing better than a great meat pie and there are fewer things more true. A great pie is an Australian institution and for good reason. Not expensive to make and full of joy. I can still smell my Nana’s kitchen when she would bake all day and in the early evening bring from the combustion stove a piping hot meat pie.”
The chefs’ anthology is supported by Morrisons as part of their pledge to raise £1 million for Help the Aged and ChildLine as part of its ‘Protecting Generations for Generations’ campaign.
