Celebrities turn designers for the NSPCC in association with ‘Mamas & Papas’

19 June 2009

Celebrity parents Tamzin Outhwaite, Gareth Gates, Emma B and Zoe Lucker have turned designers by creating some unique one-off customisations for the new space age Joolz pushchair by up-market retailer Mamas & Papas.

Actress Tamzin Outhwaite named her design (pictured right) after her baby daughter and called it ‘The Florence’. She chose a Valentines Day theme with pretty pink and red hearts on a purple backdrop.

Heart FM DJ Emma B took inspiration from her 5 year old son who suggested a rainbow design (pictured left).

Other kind-hearted celebrities who chose the NSPCC to benefit from their hard work were Zoe Lucker (Black and White stars) and Gareth Gates (Technicolor Dream Pram).

Each exclusive design was entered into a silent auction to raise money for the NSPCC and a selection of other children’s charities – all of whom were nominated by the celebrities involved.

The silent auction was run via the Mamas & Papas new store in London’s Westfield and raised a fantastic £600 (approximate) for our work with vulnerable children.
