The Hoosiers pledge their support for vulnerable children

21 July 2009

Every day, thousands of children and young people call ChildLine to talk about a problem they face.

Musicians, The Hoosiers said: “We can’t begin to imagine the pain and suffering an abused child goes through. It is terrible to think that they’re often too scared to tell anyone what is happening to them. We were lucky, if we had a problem we had friends and family we could talk to about it, but for an abused child, finding someone to trust and asking them for help must be the hardest thing to do”

Unfortunately, due to lack of funds, ChildLine can only answer two thirds of the 2.3 million calls it receives from children each year. Over the next three years the Child’s Voice Appeal needs to raise £50million to ensure that every call is answered.
