Amir Khan swaps boxing for racing gloves in aid of the NSPCC
15 October 2009
NSPCC Ambassador Amir Khan took part in 'The Circuit' on 17 September 2009 in aid of the NSPCC's Child's Voice Appeal.
Motor sport fans paid to spend a thrilling day with Amir and other celebrities alongside professional drivers, as they experienced PalmerSport's hospitality at the Bedford Autodrome.

Amir not only took part but kept an eye on his fellow celebrity's racing times, and those of his brother and his uncle's too.
Other stars who took part included Deborah Meaden (Dragon's Den), James Martin (Saturday Kitchen), Austin Healey (ex-Rugby star and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant), David Coulthard (former Formula 1 driver), Damon Hill (former Formula 1 World Champion) and Paul Sackey (London Wasps).
Guests got to drive six high performance cars around four purpose built tracks - the Formula Jaguar, Porsche 911 JP3, Palmer Jaguar JP1, Renault Clio Cup Racer, Caterham 7 Superlight and the Jaguar XKR.
'The Circuit' is expected to raise thousands of pounds for the NSPCC's Child's Voice Appeal, which aims to raise £50 million so that the NSPCC's vital helplines can answer many more cries for help. For more information, visit www.childsvoiceappeal.org.uk
