JLS's Marvin Humes shows his support for young people

One of the biggest X-Factor success stories, JLS, have been riding high in the charts following the release of their debut single 'Beat Again' in the summer of 2009. Since then, they have released equally successful follow up singles 'Everybody in Love' 'One Shot' and 'The Club is Alive'.

Throw in two MOBO awards and this would keep most people busy enough, but Marvin Humes has been making time for young people by supporting the NSPCC's 'How u feelin?' campaign which was launched to raise awareness of ChildLine's new online services. For many young people, he is now the face of ChildLine.

"I'm really proud to support ChildLine and to help launch its great new website that lets young people express their feelings and get help for their problems.

"Everyone has bad days, even popstars. When I'm touring with JLS it can get stressful and I miss my family, but talking to my bandmates about it makes me feel better," Marvin said.

His support began with a visit to Harefield Academy School in Uxbridge in October 2009, where he hosted an assembly. He then held a question and answer session with students.

To coincide with the launch of ChildLine's online services, Marvin's also released a film teaching young people to express themselves through dance.  And to push the message still further, he's been posting messages on ChildLine's chat boards.

"When children find it difficult to talk about their feelings and problems to their friends and family, ChildLine is there for them. Whatever it is, if it matters to children, it matters to ChildLine."
