Newman’s Own Foundation generously supports NSPCC Northern Ireland
NSPCC Northern Ireland is pleased to announce that it has received a grant of $12,500 from Newman's Own Foundation in support of our Domestic Abuse Recovery and Support Services, operating in Foyle and Belfast.
Bob Forrester, president of Newman's Own Foundation, said: "Paul Newman summed up his philosophy about giving in a simple statement: 'What could be better than to hold out your hand to those less fortunate than you, or in any way use your good fortune to help make our world a better place?' Newman's Own Foundation is pleased to be able to partner with the NSPCC and support its Northern Ireland program."
The Domestic Abuse Recovery and Support service offers a range of services including a 12-week group work programme for adults and children affected by domestic abuse as well as individual recovery and support service for children and adults who are unable to join group sessions.
The aim is to tackle the problem at every possible level, by preventing domestic abuse from happening in the first place, stopping it from continuing and helping children to recover from its effects
