NSPCC parenting advisor recommends baby monitors
New parents can go through a whole range of emotions when they take their newborn baby home. Nerves, excitement, fear and stress can all be experienced - often at the same time!
At first many new parents will keep their newborns in the same room as them, but will eventually move them into a cot in a different room. But it can sometimes be difficult to hear them crying, particularly if it's a noisy household.
Our parenting advisor, Eileen Hayes MBE, believes that baby monitors can be a vital source of comfort to new parents. They allow parents to hear their baby crying as soon as possible and give them some peace of mind when they're in other parts of their home.
BT, who have been a ChildLine partner for 25 years, are donating £1 to us for every baby monitor sold over the next three months. This includes their brand new monitor, the 'Pacifier'.
