UK Challenge teams bring hope for children
In mid June this year over 70 teams took part in the Intelligent Sport® UK Challenge to help raise money for the NSPCC. Collectively the teams have pledged over £300,000. Companies such as Lloyds TSB, Assureweb, Microsoft and Sainsbury's all entered teams in this exciting adrenaline-fuelled adventure.
The challenge is designed to create teams that can perform well under pressure as they are tested physically mentally and strategically, this year was no exception! Each team was made up of five to seven members of colleagues including a senior executive. Each member was tested on their ability to communicate, make decisions and develop an effective team spirit.
This year the event took place over four days and nights in Exmoor. The Intelligent Sport® UK Challenge is largely regarded as the biggest and most effective corporate team development event and is often referred to as the corporate Olympics. It has been taking place for ten years and has already raised £4 million for the NSPCC.
If you would like to take part in next year's event, full details can be found on the UK Challenge website.
