I am:

A huge thank you to our Brighton and Virgin London Marathon runners

This April, a combined team over of 1,000 marathon runners came out in full force over two weekends, from sea to city, to raise money for ChildLine's 25th anniversary.

Our amazing runners were cheered on by a team of over 200 volunteers who manned 'cheering points' along the Brighton and London Marathon routes, and whether it was the sea breeze at Brighton or the journey past some of London's most iconic sights, our runners appeared to have some of the biggest smiles as they completed their marathon challenge.

This year, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, runners were raising money for ChildLine, the free confidential helpline and online service for children and young people provided by the NSPCC, which has counselled almost 2.7 million children and young people since it was set up.

Now, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, ChildLine is able to answer almost every call and provides help and advice to thousands of children every day, about issues such as bullying, bereavement, abuse and family problems.

A big thank you to all of our fantastic runners - every step you took helped us move towards our £1.4 million target for both events, ensuring we can continue to be there when a vulnerable child needs support or advice.

Apply now to join next year's team for the Brighton Marathon 2013 or the Virgin London Marathon 2013.
