North London and East of England
"Over the coming months we will develop our service centres across North London and the East of England to provide vital support to children, young people and their families.
"Our new local programmes will focus on protecting the most vulnerable children in society and will address the needs of local children."

About our work in North London and East of England
We have a service centre in Ipswich, which provides direct services to children and families across the region. We are now working towards opening service centres in Camden, Tower Hamlets, Luton and Hounslow. The centres are specially designed to be places where children can feel safe and supported and better able to overcome the trauma they have experienced.
The work we do in our service centres concentrates on the most important issues affecting children and groups of children who are most at risk. Read more about our overall approach to what we do or contact your local team for more information.

Ipswich service centre
Our Ipswich service centre opened in December 2010. The team delivers the following programmes:
- Reunification of children home from care - helps ensure children who are reunited with their birth families are not abused or neglected again.
- Parents under pressure - an intensive home visiting programme to reduce the risk of harm to babies and toddlers. The programme works to enhance parenting skills among parents with severe drugs and alcohol problems.
- Change for good - prevents sexual abuse by working with children who show harmful sexual behaviour.
- Assessing the risk, protecting the child - a good practice guide for the assessment of adults to protect children from sexual abuse.
