How you can help

North West

Michael Josephson and Chelsee HeeleyManchester entrepreneur Michael Josephson (pictured), Director of Stocks Manchester, who lives in Alderley Edge, has been a ChildLine supporter for over 10 years and is also a Patron of the NSPCC.

He currently sits as Chairman of the renowned North West ChildLine Ball committee in Manchester which raised £100,000 at their 2012 Ball.  Michael said:

"I am thrilled to support the NSPCC as I believe the charity’s work is vital.  Their services make such a huge difference to the lives of children and young people which is why I am happy to be involved.

"I would recommend volunteering to fundraise to anyone as a great way of socialising and helping a great cause.  Like a lot of people in business, I have a very hectic work schedule, but I always have time to give to the NSPCC”.

Getting involved in your area

Thanks to our vibrant network of community volunteers, business groups, and service volunteers, we're able to continue providing services for the most vulnerable children in the North West.

If you want to get involved with the NSPCC in your community, there's a whole range of things you can do to help. We hope you'll also meet other like-minded supporters, and have a great experience at the same time. Get in touch to find out more about getting involved locally. Here's a few ideas to get you started:

Join a local fundraising group

The NSPCC has over 2,000 groups of volunteers across the UK, who raise money within their local community and help raise awareness of the work we do to protect children.

Volunteer in your area

You could volunteer in your local ChildLine base for the ChildLine helpline, providing advice and support to children who need us 24 hours a day. Or you could volunteer for the ChildLine Schools Service, a role that involves presenting safeguarding assemblies and interactive workshops to primary school aged children.
