What do you do?  

Contribute to the delivery of the NSPCC’s cultural change agenda by providing training and consultancy services to external organisations.
It’s rewarding to be part of an organisation which is clear, committed and passionate about achieving its mission.

Why did you join the NSPCC?

I came from a local authority, where I worked as a social worker for children and families before working as a training officer. I joined the NSPCC Training and Consultancy team in 1999 because of the way it can demonstrate good practice, the child-focused approach and its integrity. 

What benefits are there?

It’s well-resourced and functions in a way which reflects good practice. There are also opportunities for working with diverse range of organisations.

What do you find rewarding about your job?

A good team spirit, and playing a part in preventing cruelty, protecting children and helping them overcome the  effects of abuse through training and consultancy.    

What values do you feel are important for working with the NSPCC?

Child-focused practice, and a responsibility to take action to safeguard children. We all need respect and value for diverse needs of individuals, groups and communities. We work with integrity by supporting, challenging, inspiring and influencing others.
