If you’re interested in working for the NSPCC, you should know that there are certain values and behaviours that drive all of our work. They are integral to who we are and what we do – so we look for them in everyone we work with.
Our working culture
Four key values drive all of our work: courage, protect, trust and respect . They show that children are at the heart of everything we do, and that we believe we can only achieve our mission by working with others with integrity.
In working with each other, we want to get the best from everyone. Your contribution is vital, so we’ll give you the support you need to make it. But we are also passionate about what we do, so we have higher standards than many other organisations.
Keeping children safe
Finally, and most importantly, we believe in always protecting children and young people. That means extensive vetting is carried out before you start working with us. If you will be working unsupervised with children, we check your details against police and government records. And when you’re a member of staff, you will need to know our safeguarding procedures.
