Members of the Board come from different walks of life and bring a wide range of skills and knowledge to their role.
The Trustees meet as a group six times a year and most of them also sit on committees to review key areas of activity and policy such as finance, standards and performance, and audit.
Every year, we hold an Annual Council Meeting, which the trustees attend. This meeting covers the process of reviewing the constitution, voting on branch motions, election of officers, and receipt of the annual accounts. These meetings are also attended by members of the Council which include Vice-Presidents, Life Patrons, Life Councillors, representatives from each Branch Committee and Honorary Members. In addition, observers from Branch Committees, high-level donors and guests closely associated with the Society's work are also invited to the Annual Council Meeting.
The Leadership Group, led by NSPCC director and chief executive Mary Marsh, works closely with the Board of Trustees and carries out the day-to-day running of the organisation.
