NSPCC Ambassador Amir Khan visits school

Pupils raise £664.50 for NSPCC

Amir Khan visits school fundraisers

NSPCC Ambassador Amir Khan recently visited pupils at Park high school, Birkenhead, to thank them for raising £664.50 for the NSPCC. The money was raised from a ‘Santa Dash’. As well as the fundraisers, pupils with a 100 per cent five-year attendance record got to meet Amir and receive autographs.

On the day, Amir said: “I’m an Ambassador for the NSPCC so I’m happy to come here and thank the kids – it’s good to see them getting involved in sporting activities”

Helen Matthews, NSPCC Schools Organiser North West said: “The money raised will make a huge difference to the lives of abused and vulnerable children. It will help support the work of the Hargreaves Centre in Liverpool. Without the support of schools and the generosity of the public our work to bring an end to child cruelty would simply not be possible.”
