NSPCC ambassador and boxing sensation Amir Khan met The Queen in February at a reception at St. James’s Palace to mark the completion of the NSPCC’s FULL STOP appeal to raise £250million.
Amir said he felt privileged to meet the Queen and represent the NSPCC.
“It’s an honour to come here and meet the Queen. It’s a big thing for me and my family.”
Amir said “ I told her about going to raise lots of money for the NSPCC. She told me that it was very nice and I did a great thing”.
Having traded his boxing gloves for a smart suit to attend the reception in London, Amir, his father Shahjaad and manager Asif Vali, enjoyed meeting other supporters of the NSPCC. Other royals in attendance included HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and their son HRH The Duke of York.
