On the 5 October 2006, Jason Leonard (former England and Harlequins) and Josh Lewsey (England and Wasps) dazzled the London participants of the Two Cities Conker Challenge Cup, whilst Leon Lloyd (England and Leicester Tigers) and Lewis Moody (England and Leicester Tigers) wowed the Birmingham ‘nutters’.

The conkering teams picked up vital skills and tactics from the England rugby champs who squared off for the ultimate conker showdown to kick start proceedings. The Challenge Cup pits teams against each other to win conker matches until a victorious team emerges.
Both events, which were co-sponsored by Taylor’s Port and Wragge & Co LLP raised £50,000 for the NSPCC. The event also cracked the world record for the most number of conker games played at once, which now stands at 419.
