NSPCC Public Policy and CampaigningThe NSPCC lobbies key decision makers such as Government Ministers, MPs and Assembly members to ensure they put in place policies that are best for protecting children. We respond to Government consultation documents and produce statements on the NSPCC's position on current public policy issues. We ensure that new legislation is appropriate and that the welfare of children remains high on the political agenda.
A group of MPs and Peers work closely with the NSPCC to help achieve our aims in Parliament.
We're committed to developing the skills and knowledge of those who provide services for children and young people. We share our experience and expertise with professionals and work closely with Government and local councils on the implementation of children's policy.
We also run four campaigns a year lobbying Government and MP's on key NSPCC policies. If you would like to get involved in our campaigns and help lobby your local decision-makers for the NSPCC, visit our campaigning pages .
Since the FULL STOP Campaign was launched in 1999, over 100,000 people have campaigned with the NSPCC to better protect children from abuse. Their efforts and our lobbying have helped make the law and social policy more effective in protecting children. Find out more about some of the laws we've helped change.
