Be the FULL STOP is a major new drive in the FULL STOP campaign to end cruelty to children. We want over a million people to Be the FULL STOP by becoming part of a mass movement who believe cruelty can be ended and are willing to act to make child cruelty stop.
Be the FULL STOP is backed by a four week national advertising campaign on TV, billboards, press and online.
The Be the FULL STOP online map - www.bethefullstop.com, is a great way for you to show your support for the campaign and demonstrate a belief that child cruelty can be ended and that you want to take action now! Once on the map, you can:

To stop children and young people suffering abuse, the NSPCC is calling on the Government to fund helplines and online or text based counselling that provide them with 24-hour access to confidential advice and support. This would mean a counsellor is always there when a child calls and that more and better services are provided to vulnerable groups such as disabled children.
"Everyone can be part of the human barrier against child abuse. People sometimes feel abuse is too big a problem for them to make a difference. Be the FULL STOP is about showing people that everything they do - however small - adds up to ending cruelty to children. Every action counts." Mary Marsh, NSPCC Chief Executive
During NSPCC's annual FULL STOP WEEK 2006 five city events in London, Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham and Belfast urged passers by to Be the FULL STOP to end child cruelty. The events took the NSPCC Campaign into the heart of the communities and 'Adwalkers' with wearable computers signed people up then and there to get on the map of actions to end child cruelty by campaigning, fund-raising, donating, volunteering or taking action in their own lives.
London events were at the Shell Building, South Bank and in Leciester Square. The other events were at City Hall in Birmingham, Piccadilly Gardens (Debenhams building) in Manchester, central office buildings in Cardiff near intersection of Bridge St and The Hayes, and the Days Inn Hotel near Shaftsbury Square in Belfast.
