Children's mental health

Recognising the signs that a child may be struggling with their mental health can be really hard. We've got advice to help you support children who may be experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal feelings or self-harm. 

There were over 200,000 Childline counselling sessions with children and young people last year.
Mental or emotional health was the top concern for young people contacting Childline in 2020/21.
Over 5,600 Childline counselling sessions about mental health were with children aged 11 or under last year.
