It’s Childhood Day. Let’s play.
After the year we’ve had, we could all do with a bit more play. That’s why we’re asking the UK to come together this Childhood Day – to play, raise money and help keep children safe.
So, will you join us on the 11 June?
There are so many different ways you can play your part: whether you host a tug-of-war with your friends, do face painting in the park or have an online gameathon. Sign up for your free fundraising pack full of ideas to get you playing while raising money to help keep children safe.
How to take part
Sign up: Fill in our short form and we’ll get your free fundraising pack sent out straight away – crammed with ideas on how to organise your play event and keeping in touch before the big day.
Plan your day: It’s time to spread the word! Once you’ve chosen your activity, let people know about your day of play using our poster and invitations, and get 11 June in everyone’s diary.
Fundraise: Once 11 June comes around, you’re ready to start playing! Be sure to ask your players for a minimum donation to join in (we’d suggest £5), or ask them to sponsor you instead.
Ways to play your part
Whatever you do, and whoever you do it with, make sure you follow government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.
How your fundraising helps
The money you raise could help children like Amber* safely open up about their experiences of abuse.
"The counsellor changed my perspective and helped me do something I’d wanted to do for two years. She made me realise I didn’t have to let this destroy me."
