After months of hard work training and fundraising, your event is now only a few days away. Don't worry if you're unsure about the last few steps, we've got you covered with our top tips to get you to that start line.

Tapering your training

You're now at one of the highlights of your training - the taper! This means that the last of your long training runs is in the past, and it's now time to let your body recover and prepare for the big day.

It might feel strange to be relatively inactive after so many months of training, but there would be nothing worse than picking up an injury now so just enjoy the rest days. It's a perfect time to start thinking about other plans for your event, like checking transport and putting a list together for your carb load!
