The TV presenter speaks about why she supports our work with local schools
TV presenter and ChildLine supporter, Anna Williamson, took time out from her recent run as Cinderella at Reading's Hexagon Theatre to speak about her support for the charity - in particular our ChildLine service.
"I have been a volunteer for the NSPCC's ChildLine service for three years now and it's a charity that's very close to my heart and a big part of my life. My support includes volunteering as a ChildLine counsellor, which involves taking phone calls and online contacts from young people who need someone to talk to.
"I am also trained to deliver the ChildLine Schools Service, which I'm very excited about. It's a shocking fact that at least two children in every primary school classroom will have suffered some form of abuse, but most won't tell anyone about it for several years."
