Florence + The Machine donates funds from UK Shows

UK + EU Tour Starts this Week

Next week will see Florence + the Machine embark on their tour of the UK. Kicking off on Wednesday in Belfast, the tour culminates at London’s prestigious Alexandra Palace for a 4 night run starting on September 21st.

Florence+TheMachine Ticket Donation

Since the tour was announced, £1 or €1 from every ticket sold (subject to relevant local taxes as applicable) was being donated to the charity Kids Company. Since its sad closure, Florence has been giving careful consideration as to which charity should now receive the donation from ticket sales.

We are now pleased to confirm that the donations will be attributed to the following equally suitable causes:

Dublin – funds raised on this show will be donated to the ISPCC - The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

UK shows – funds raised from these shows will have funds split equally between the following 3 charities:
NSPCC, Barnardo’s and The Children’s Society.

European shows – funds raised on the mainland European tour dates will be donated to the charity Theirworld.

"We’re absolutely delighted that Florence has chosen the NSPCC as one of the charities to benefit from ticket sales for her upcoming tour. The money raised will help us continue our fight for every childhood, changing children’s lives for the better here in the UK through our services such as ChildLine."
