Sale of Slimming World cookbooks will help support our work with children and young people
Our long-standing partner, Slimming World, has chosen us to be their 2015 charity partner. Together we hope to raise over £100,000 to help support our services for protecting children across the UK and Channel Islands.
The sale of Slimming World's cookbooks throughout the year will help us to reach the fundraising target. They will be donating 10p from the sale of every book between 1 January and 31 December 2015.
It's fantastic for us to be able to continue our partnership with Slimming World. The company have always been huge supporters, having worked with us since 1998 and helping to raise more than £1.3 million in donations. It's really exciting for us to have them back on board.
Margaret Whittaker OBE, Founder of Slimming World said:
"In 2015 we will support our former charity partner, the NSPCC. In the past we've raised over £1.3 million for the charity which means they've been able to offer incredible support to children who had nobody else to protect them.
"The work that the NSPCC do – their direct services, policy work and campaigning – is pioneering. Slimming World's passion, loyalty and kindness will assist the charity in taking extraordinary steps each and every day to protect thousands of children from harm and cruelty."
Slimming World has a wide range of cookbooks, with recipes ranging from great British family favourites such as "bangers and mash" and fish and chips, to the more adventurous, like sushi rolls, thai fishcakes and curries.
