Pedalling for pounds John Dyson and John Kelly's story

John Dyson and John KellyJohn Dyson and John Kelly are area managers for Blakemore Retail and in the past 5 years they have raised an amazing £40,000.

The pair have taken on numerous cycle challenges, including the London to Paris cycle challenge and cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats - seeing them cover more than 1,500 miles each.

Their regional manager, Owen Davies, shares some of the cycling duo's highlights:

“In 2014 they cycled from Anglesey to Land's End, covering 400 miles in 4 days. The ride was their biggest fundraising achievement to date.

"The pair cycled over 400 miles in just four days, raising over £10,000 for the Childline Schools Service"
Owen Davies / Regional Manager, Blakemore Retail

"Their achievement was recognised at our Blakemore Retail Conference and they were introduced to Sir Chris Hoy on stage – a massive privilege for them. They were so proud of this recognition.

"In 2015, they decided to ride from Edinburgh to Dover, tackling 500 miles in 5 days. Starting in Edinburgh, the first 50 miles went well to the border, and then the real hills started, quite a challenge for them. The next 4 days didn't get any easier, but they arrived in Dover 5 days later. Completing their final challenge!
