Mournes HACK 2014

Date of event:  20 September 2014

Venue:  County Down, Northern Ireland

Time:  6.30am

Take in some of the most dramatic and breathtaking scenery in Northern Ireland

It's time to pull on your hiking boots and take to the marvellous Mourne Mountains HACK. Forest, loughs, rivers and bogs await you as you walk in the footsteps of 18th century smugglers on the Trassey Track.

Walkers will have the choice of two challenging routes; 20 miles and 14 miles. These hikes will give you a chance to see some stunning views of the coast, sea and countryside.

Year after year our walkers tell us how much they love this exhilarating walk - which is fast becoming one of the most popular hikes in Northern Ireland.

Register for the Mournes HACK

Registration for the Mournes HACK is now open, so sign up online today.

 14 mile route - £20 registration fee

 20 mile route - £25 registration fee

Some walks become full before the closing date so we would advise early booking. Please see terms and conditions of registration.

Preparing for your HACK

The walk can get a little demanding, so it's a good idea to do plenty of training before taking part.  Have a look at our training tips or check out our fundraising tips page for fun ideas to raise as much money as possible.

Volunteer for HACK 2014

We're always looking for HACK volunteers to help give our walkers the very best experience. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, then why not sign up to volunteer at the Mournes HACK when registration opens in January 2014. Please kindly note you must be 18 years and over to volunteer.

Where your money goes

It's more than just a ramble. Be prepared for fun, breathtaking views and a challenging walk. All the money you raise will help support some of Northern Ireland's most vulnerable children and young people.
