"It truly was a great day"

“My family and I headed home with croaky voices after all our cheering and shouting, sun-kissed skin and jingling in our ears from the sounds of cow bells, whistles and bam bam balloons. We hope to be joining you again.”

How you'll help

Every year thousands of people raise money to help protect children and prevent abuse through our events. You'll support us in raising this vital money by helping out at an event.

By cheering on our runners and cyclists, helping them to complete a challenge they’ve spent months preparing for, you’ll make a huge difference.

What you'll get

Volunteering at our events is a great way to experience the fantastic atmosphere of event days! You'll also get to meet lots of new people and support us in raising money to keep children safe.

You’ll be accompanied by NSPCC staff to support you and answer any questions you may have. For sporting events, refreshments will be provided at the cheer points and travel expenses will be covered up to a certain amount.

Who's right for the role?

You don’t need any prior experience to volunteer at one of our events, just a sense of fun, team spirit and enthusiasm.

We need volunteers with a warm and friendly manner, as the NSPCC is around 90 per cent funded by supporter donations so the impression people have of us is incredibly important.

Volunteers at our sporting events will need to be comfortable spending a few hours outside, spending lots of this time cheering and clapping.
