If we have not yet responded to you and your concerns for the safety of a child increase, please contact the police or local Children’s Services directly. Please be assured that we'll action all contacts that our Helpline receives.

Our hub in the North West
Our North West Hub, based in Liverpool, is at the heart of our work across the region. Collaborating with communities is the cornerstone of our approach. It allows us to connect directly with children, young people and families, and build strong, lasting partnerships.
We dedicate ourselves to the communities across the North West and work dynamically with individuals, families, schools and community groups. This drives positive change locally and contributes to our national impact.
Last year in the North West:
- Over 176,000 children in 750 schools took part in our Speak Out Stay Safe programme
- We worked directly with 155 children and families, delivering services such as Letting The Future In and Pregnancy in Mind
- We have licenced 35 partner organisations to deliver services such as the Harmful Sexual Behaviour Framework.

Our direct services
Local campaigns
We work in partnerships with communities to devise and deliver local safeguarding campaigns which respond to local needs on topics such as youth-led bullying campaigns and neglect.
Last year, we connected with over 4,300 professionals, adults, and children across the North West, working hand-in-hand with local communities to deliver safeguarding campaigns that truly reflect their unique needs.
Here are a few highlights:
- In Safe Hands — Merseyside
We developed inclusive, accessible resources for the d/Deaf community to help keep children safe online. These tools are now being shared not just across Merseyside but throughout the UK. - Breakthrough — Blackburn with Darwen
Through powerful performances of It’s Not Love and engaging workshops, we reached over 900 high school students to spark conversations about healthy relationships and domestic abuse. This campaign is growing, continuing to support young people, families and professionals. - Think Neglect — Blackburn with Darwen
Partnering with local Neglect Champions, we’re helping embed a strong neglect strategy and raise awareness among both professionals and the public.
We also proudly delivered other impactful campaigns like Look Say Sing Play, Talk PANTS, and Listen Up, Speak Up, all designed to empower communities and protect children.

Fundraising in the North West
Across the North West, we’re fortunate to have many local fundraising groups who organise a wide range of events — from bake sales to golf days, networking events to fashion shows — all to help fund our vital work.
A standout moment this year was the Cheshire Race Day, organised by the Cheshire Special Events Committee, who have been fundraising for the NSPCC for over 30 years.
Individuals across the region can also take part in sponsored activities like skydives and marathons or plan their own events to support us too.
We’re also grateful for the support of philanthropic donations from individuals, corporations and trusts, that enable us to do remarkable things for children. We have a range of unique partnership opportunities for philanthropists and businesses interested in working with us in the fight for every childhood.
