Why should I volunteer?
- It’s a fun and easy way to give back. We’re asking people give a few hours of their time to fundraise for the NSPCC.
- Whether you’re volunteering alone or with friends, you’ll never be on your own – you’ll be part of a Childhood Day collection team with likeminded volunteers like you!
- We count on people like you for support. Around 75p in every £1 we spend goes directly to helping children and young people – we just can’t do it without you!
Last year volunteers like you collected £30,000, this could have helped answer 7,500 call for help to Childline*.
"Volunteering for Childhood Day is such a small commitment which works perfectly for me as I have a busy schedule. I didn’t realise how easy it would be, with such a big impact"
- Suzie, Childhood Day volunteer

"For the last three years my family and I have taken part in Childhood Day. We’ve climbed mountains, ran over muddy obstacles & collected money in buckets. I’ve had so much fun & would tell everyone to give it a try! It will make you smile."
