You can contact our Helpline by calling 0808 800 5000 between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, or by emailing [email protected] between 11am and 4pm, seven days a week. If you send an email when the service is closed, it won't be received, and we won't know that you've tried to get in touch.
If we have not yet responded to you and your concerns for the safety of a child increase, please contact the police or local Children’s Services directly. Please be assured that we'll action all contacts that our Helpline receives.

Join our mega maths fundraising day!
Number Day is the NSPCC's mega maths fundraising event. Every year, thousands of schools and nurseries across the UK fundraise for the NSPCC by having fun with maths.
You could take part in numerical games and activities or Dress Up for Digits - dressing up as a number! When you sign up for free, you'll also receive access to hundreds of free learning resources for children from early years to Key Stage 4 – you can download some sample activities below to get an idea of what’s on offer when you sign up.
However you take part, your fundraising and support could help us fund vital services like Speak out Stay safe and Childline.*

Half a million children suffer abuse or neglect a year in the UK. That means seven children in a classroom experience abuse before they turn 18.
Last year, we reached over 1.5 million children in more than 6,600 schools with our Speak out Stay safe safeguarding assemblies.

Dress up for Digits with these Number Day costume ideas
Giving children the option to dress up for Number Day with a themed outfit can add extra fun and excitement. It could be as simple as a top with a number on it, or a Number Day costume like a dice or calculator. You could also raise funds for the NSPCC by asking participating families for a donation. Number Day is a free and inclusive maths-inspired fundraising day for children in nursery right through to secondary school, with free downloadable activities suitable for all ages and abilities.
It's the perfect way to get your school or nursery involved with fundraising and celebrating maths while helping to protect more children from abuse.
There are plenty of fun curriculum-based activities which take inspiration from famous game shows, current trends, exciting tasks, and teamwork, as well as lots of resources and ideas to make sure everyone can join in the fun, even if maths isn’t their favourite subject.
Each year we add new activities and pupils are also encouraged to Dress Up for Digits where they make a donation to wear an item of clothing with a number on it.

Funds raised from Number Day could help to support vital NSPCC services like Speak out Stay Safe. This service visits primary schools across the UK and Channel Islands to teach children about abuse and neglect and what they can do if they need help.
How could our donation be spent?
- £4 could help answer a child's call or message for help to Childline.
- £3 could pay for the NSPCC Speak out Stay safe programme to reach one primary school child, teaching them how to recognise abuse and neglect, and empowering them to speak out if they're worried about anything.
- £200 could pay for a trained practitioner for one day, helping children get back on track following abuse.
