You can contact our Helpline by calling 0808 800 5000 between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, or by emailing [email protected] between 11am and 4pm, seven days a week. If you send an email when the service is closed, it won't be received, and we won't know that you've tried to get in touch.
If we have not yet responded to you and your concerns for the safety of a child increase, please contact the police or local Children’s Services directly. Please be assured that we'll action all contacts that our Helpline receives.

The NSPCC joins the nation in mourning the loss of Dame Esther Rantzen.
Many people will remember Esther for her achievements and her sparkling career. At the NSPCC we remember Esther for her energy, drive and tireless championing of children.
In October 1986, Esther launched Childline as a nationwide, 24/7 helpline for children suffering from abuse.
For almost 40 years, Childline has helped children in the UK and Channels Islands over 6 million times with counselling sessions, and millions more through its online resources. They make sure children in crisis understand that they are not alone, that their lives matter, and that they deserve to be happy.
