Contact the NSPCC Helpline
You can contact our Helpline by calling 0808 800 5000 between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, or by emailing [email protected] between 11am and 4pm, seven days a week. If you send an email when the service is closed, it won't be received, and we won't know that you've tried to get in touch.
If we have not yet responded to you and your concerns for the safety of a child increase, please contact the police or local Children’s Services directly. Please be assured that we'll action all contacts that our Helpline receives.

How we work across the Midlands
Our hub is based in Nottingham, where we deliver face-to-face services to support parents and families in the local area and virtual services to support parents across the Midlands.
Our direct services
Pregnancy in Mind (PiM) provides free mental health group support for parents-to-be, between 12 and 26 weeks of pregnancy, to find space for whatever they’re feeling.
It explores coping strategies, understanding your mental health, mindfulness, ways to boost your mood, relaxation, and connecting with your baby.

Let’s Talk supports children to understand healthy boundaries, emotions and relationships in a safe and age-appropriate way.
Let’s Talk services works with children and young people whose behaviour, language or attitudes around sex and relationships have raised concerns. And we work with parents and carers too.
The service aims to encourage safe and respectful behaviour, build confidence and understanding, and improve emotional wellbeing. We work together to support children to enable them to experience healthy sexual development and expression.

Schools service
Through the delivery of our schools service, we make sure every child’s voice is heard and valued. We have schools coordinators based across the region, supporting local schools in every community.
We've developed a range of resources with the PSHE Association that are free for schools and childcare settings to use. Our lesson plans and resources are tailored specifically to early years, 5-7 years, 7-11 years and for children with SEND.
All lessons are accompanied with PowerPoint slides and there's also a school display pack so you can create a roar-some PANTS display to reinforce the messages!
To make sure teachers have all the support they need, we've also written teaching guidance with lots of supporting information, and this also shows how the resources link up with the curriculum in all 4 nations and the Channel Isles.
The resources include:
- Early years resources for childcare settings
- Activities plan for childcare setting - age 3-4
Primary school resources:
- Activities plan for reception / first year - age 4-5
- Lesson and presentation for ages 5-7
- Lesson and presentation for ages 5-7
- Lesson and presentation for ages 7-9
- Lesson and presentation for ages 9-11
SEND resources:
- Lesson and presentation for children with SEND
- Supporting guidance
- Talk PANTS teaching guidance to support all settings.
Further information:

Speak out Stay safe is a safeguarding programme for children aged 5–11, which is available to all primary schools in the Midlands, as well as across the UK.
It helps children to understand that they always have a right to feel safe, and that they can speak to a safe adult or Childline if they ever need help or support.
In 2024–25, we’re proud to say that 268,577 children in 1,140 schools took part in our online Speak out Stay safe programme.

We want all young people to understand healthy behaviours in relationships and recognise their right to be safe, heard and respected.
Talk Relationships supports secondary schools to confidently deliver inclusive relationships and sex education.

Fundraising

85% of our income is raised by donation, and we spend it all on working to protect children.
Across the region, we have lots of local fundraising committees who organise a wide range of fundraising events to support our work, from bake sales to golf days.
People throughout the region can also take part in sponsored events like sky dives and marathons to support us.
Helpline and Childline
Abuse can happen at any time, day or night. If you're concerned about a child, our specialist Helpline team is here to listen, offer advice and take action when needed. Likewise, our Childline counsellors are available to support young people 24/7, every day of the year.
