Become a major donor

Making a donation as an individual or trust can make a huge difference to children

Make a major gift as an individual or trust and help us be there for more children

Our work with children relies upon the generous support of the public. Without these donations, we wouldn’t be able to run our services or reach the children and young people that need us most.

We appreciate every donation, big or small, but by making a major gift you can make an enormous impact on the services we provide for children and families in need of support. These gifts not only allow us to fund projects now, but allow us to plan ahead, so no matter what challenges the future holds, we can be there for children.

How a major gift helps

Sir Doug Ellis first pledged his support to the NSPCC during the Full Stop campaign in 2002. He made a substantial pledge to Childline in 2007, establishing the Doug Ellis Childline night service, which continues to operate from the base on the Hagley Road, Birmingham. His generosity totals £1.25m to the NSPCC over 15 years, with a most recent gift in 2017.

"My first introduction to the work of the NSPCC came at a private dinner in Manchester and what became clear is that the NSPCC and Childline are doing fantastic work on behalf of the vulnerable young people across the country and fully deserve support. I feel privileged that we are able to help and I know that together we can really make a difference."

By making a major gift to the NSPCC, you can make sure that services such as Childline are there when a child needs our help.

"I want to thank Childline for saving my life. If you hadn’t have called me an ambulance I don’t know what would have happened. I’m out of hospital now and feeling fine."
