If we have not yet responded to you and your concerns for the safety of a child increase, please contact the police or local Children’s Services directly. Please be assured that we'll action all contacts that our Helpline receives.

Take on the ultimate challenge at Arundel Castle
Join us at one of Sussex's most iconic landmarks, Arundel Castle, for an unforgettable adventure. Climb 200 steps up the historic Bake House Tower's winding staircase and experience the thrill of descending 180 feet down, taking in breathtaking views of the South Downs as you step over the edge.
Whether you're an adrenaline enthusiast or taking on your very first abseil, this incredible challenge is open to all. You'll be guided by professional instructors who provide full training and support, ensuring a safe, exciting, and unforgettable experience from start to finish. Abseils will take place in waves between 8.00am and 4.30pm.
You'll receive a fundraising pack, an NSPCC branded T-shirt to wear with pride, and plenty of advice and encouragement to help you reach your fundraising target. You'll also receive a bespoke Arundel Castle Abseil medal to celebrate completing this incredible challenge.
By taking part, you'll raise vital funds to help protect babies, children, and young people when they need it most.

FAQs
The Arundel Castle Abseil takes place on Saturday 8 May 2027.
The abseil will take place in waves between 8am and 4.30pm. Once you have signed up you will be given an allocated time slot for your abseil.
Your £30 registration fee will help pay towards the cost of the experts who will see you safely down the Bake House Tower. We ask you to raise a minimum of £250 to the protect children, prevent abuse and provide vital support to young people and families.
Yes, we’ll be there at the Arundel Castle Abseil to cheer you on. There will also be professional instructors on-hand to make sure you have everything you need, are ready to take on the challenge safely, and to support with the abseil itself.
