A specialist child sexual abuse service in Jersey
We're a specialist child sexual abuse service who offer direct support to children and their families.
We work to raise awareness with professionals and the wider community to enable everyone to understand, support and protect children.
We aim to do the following:
- increase understanding around the subject of child sexual abuse
- raise awareness for families and our community so abuse can be identified, prevented and responded to effectively
- work alongside our partners to make sure all those working with children have increased confidence, skills and knowledge to provide appropriate support around prevention, protection and recovery
- work together to provide a therapeutic space for children and families impacted by child sexual abuse
- champion system change to create a culture where all children feel confident that adults will listen, understand and keep them safe.
Other things we do
Letting the Future In is a ground-breaking therapy service.
It helps children and young people aged 4–17 get their lives back on track following sexual abuse.
We introduced the service as a direct result of the Jersey Care Inquiry. It's been changing lives ever since.

This programme is available to all schools in the UK, Jersey and the Channel Islands.
It helps children to understand that they always have a right to feel safe, and what to do if they need help or support.
With the help of our friendly dinosaur Pantosaurus, Talk PANTS is a simple conversation to help keep your child safe from sexual abuse.
- Jersey was the first place in the British Isles to introduce a new smacking ban law, on 24 April 2020.
- All adults in positions of power are as accountable as teachers. It's now against the law to have sex with the young people they're responsible for.
- Online grooming – sending sexual messages to children – is now a criminal offence.
- The Online Safety Bill will start to hold big tech companies to account. They'll have to regulate child abuse happening on their platforms.

Abuse ruins childhood. But it doesn't have to ruin lives.
By working together in our Island community, we can prevent child sexual abuse. And build lasting change for generations to come.
Jersey Police recorded 189 child sexual abuse offences between 2019–2022.
An average of 100 children were the subject of a child protection plan. And an average of 85 children were in care in Jersey.

Childline is always here to listen. Our lines are open 365 days a year.
Last year Childline volunteers delivered around 300 counselling sessions to children in Jersey.

In 2019, we empowered 49 organisations across the South-West and Channel Islands.
